signing

This year we will be introducing a new event to celebrate our graduating seniors and the partnerships that help launch their careers. On Tuesday, May 12th at 1:00 PM in the St. Georges Lecture Hall, we will host our first Senior Signing Event.
This event will be similar to a college athletic signing day, but instead of committing to a sports team, we will recognize seniors who are committing to continue working with their co-op employers after graduation in either full-time or part-time positions.
The goal of this event is to celebrate:
• Our students entering the workforce
• The employers who have invested in their development
• The strength of our CTE programs and industry partnerships
Students who will be recognized are those whose co-op employers plan to continue employing them after graduation.
If you are a senior who is going to work with your co-op employer after graduation, please complete This Form.

FAQ about Senior Recognition:

What is senior recognition? It is a ceremony to honor our seniors in a more personalized way than the formal graduation ceremony.

How will I know if my senior is getting an award or not?

You won’t. Mostly all of the awards spanning academics, athletics, service, and career are surprises. All seniors will go up on stage and have their name called to receive their career certificate.

What info do I need to know?

*Seniors that don’t have classes must arrive to school by 9:45am for a senior class meeting, and expect to be at school until 2:15pm. Seniors will also get their yearbooks this day, and can pick up prom tickets this day if they don’t have classes.

*Seniors should dress nice for the ceremony (dress pants, skirt, dress, nice tip or collared shirt, and nice shoes).

*Gym doors open for guests at noon. No tickets are required for this event. Ceremony will begin at 12:30pm and is expected to last until 2:10pm.

*What if my student doesn’t wish to attend this event? They can get their certificate/awards/medals later that week or at graduation practice on Thursday, May 21st at 1pm.
