Principal and Administration

NCC Vo-Tech is pleased to announce that Dr. Chad Harrison has been appointed by the NCC Vo-Tech Board of Education as the new principal for St. Georges Technical High School, succeeding Dr. Shanta Reynolds who has been named Director of Teaching, Learning, and Equity for the school district.
Dr. Harrison has served our school district for the past 8 years as a St. Georges assistant principal. Prior to his time with St. Georges, he worked for seven years at Caesar

Rodney High School in Camden, Delaware, first as a technology education teacher and then as Dean of Students.
“Coming from a family of public educators, I am most honored to be given the opportunity to serve as the next principal of St. Georges Technical High School,” said Dr. Harrison. “I was fortunate to work closely with Dr. Reynolds, and I am excited to succeed him in this new leadership role to assure that St. Georges continues to be the school of choice for many students in New Castle County.”
“The principal not only serves as a school’s instructional leader, but also shapes the school culture to support student success,” Superintendent Dr. Joseph Jones said. “Dr. Harrison’s focus on Career and Technical Education and outreach initiatives in the community makes him an excellent choice to carry on the high expectations set for St. Georges students and staff.”
Dr. Harrison earned a Doctorate in Administration and Policy from the University of Delaware. He earned a Master’s in School Leadership from Wilmington University, and a Bachelor’s in Technology and Engineering Education from Utah State University.
Congratulations!

It is an honor to be a part of the St. Georges team. For eleven years I taught sixth grade in Pennsylvania. I also served one year as the Athletic Director at Garnet Valley Middle School. I spent four years as an assistant principal and athletic Director at Avon Grove High School in the Avon Grove School District. Currently, I am entering my 9th year at St. Georges THS as an Assistant Principal.
I received my bachelor’s degree from Neumann University (Elementary K--6). I obtained my master’s degree in Instructional Leadership at Cabrini College. In 2016, I acquired a doctorate in Administration and Policy at the University of Delaware.
Believing that it takes a village to raise a child, my goal is to build upon the positive and supportive culture that exists within St. Georges THS. I believe that all students can succeed, and through the collaborative efforts of the educational community, become productive members of society. We have the power to prepare our youth to make our world a better place. Working together with all community stakeholders, we can ensure that all students will learn and grow.
