The Student Advisor's Mission is to provide a secure, caring environment of educational excellence where all students are inspired to become responsible learners, independent thinkers and productive citizens within a dynamic global society. We will support and encourage our student body to follow the guidelines set forth by the New Castle County Vocational Technical School District in our Student/Parent Handbook.

- Print & Complete the SG Vehicle Registration Form (Click Here to Access)
- Bring your completed Registration Form and Required Documents (Vehicle Registration, Proof of Insurance, & Driver's License) to the Main Office for final approval
- Obtain your parking pass and locate your assigned parking space (parking spaces are assigned in the order that registrations are received, and students cannot request specific parking spaces)
-
-
- DO NOT cut through the Airmont neighborhood while driving to or from SG.
- The first row of parking is reserved for staff and visitors only.
- Reckless driving and/or activity in the school parking lot will result in the loss of driving privileges.
-
- Conduct Referrals/Detentions
- All conduct referrals submitted by teachers are handled by the Student Advisor’s Office
- School detentions are only issued by the SAO
- Students are notified face-to-face by the SAO if they are assigned a detention and are asked to sign the referral
- Conduct referrals do not automatically result in a detention
Dress Code
- Refer to the NCCVT Student/Parent Handbook for complete dress code
- Most relevant items to remember:
- Shorts/skirts/holes in pants must be at least fingertip length
- No hats/hoods/headwear allowed during school hours
- No tank tops or belly shirts
- No inappropriate logos/images on clothing
- Bullying/Cyberbullying
- Contact Mr. Roane via Schoology (or email) with any concerns regarding bullying and/or cyberbullying
- Be prepared to provide all information/evidence of the situation
- Screenshots, text messages, social media posts, etc.
- We will only take measures to fix the situation that the reporting student is comfortable with (our goal is to improve your situation, not make it worse)
- Bullying Posting Requirement
Conflict Resolution/Peer Mediation
- The Student Advisor’s Office is meant to be a resource for all SG students
- We handle any day-to-day issues that arise between students, even if the issue originated outside of school
- We are always available… No appointments are necessary
