Hawk Weekly Newsletter

*Please take note that Thursday, November 20th is our next Hawk Advisory Period. This is a time each month where our students meet with a designated staff member that they will stay with in advisory throughout their 4 years here to utilize as a resource and have the opportunity to meet with a different group of students to review various monthly topics outside the normal classroom realm. Please note the alternate bell schedule for Thursday in the Weekly Newsletter (seniors who do not have a period ½ should report at 9:18am for your period ¾ class on Thursday).

*Don’t forget to order your yearbook online now. You can either search for St. Georges Tech or use the number #13631. Yearbooks are $70 from now until 12/31. From 1/1/26-3/1/26 they will be $75. (Seniors do not have to order yearbooks, they are already included in senior dues).

Please take a moment to review the weekly newsletter for what is coming up next week.

*St. Georges Tech will be closed Wednesday, November 26th-Friday, November 28th for the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Ongoing School Reminders:

Students who drive to school:

This is a reminder that any Senior or Junior interested in driving to school must register their vehicle prior to parking at school.  Once registered, students will receive a parking permit and an assigned parking space. Driving to school without properly registering vehicles and/or parking in non-assigned parking spaces will result in a loss of driving privileges and/or disciplinary action.

Dismissal Procedures:

Our School Resource Officer is now stationed at the front of the building to assist with traffic flow and to help students safely cross the fire lane on their way to the parking lot.  In addition, students who exit out to the front parking lot will now exit only through the main entrance, not the gym doors.

    • As we prepare students for their future careers it is important that our students are abiding by the dress code policy detailed in the Student/Parent Handbook.  Students that continually do not follow the dress code will be disciplined using the rules and regulations outlined in the handbook.
    • The price of school lunch is $1.75. Students who are approved for free or reduced-price meals will be eligible to receive school lunch at no charge. All students, regardless of meal benefit status, will receive free breakfast in the New Castle County Vo Tech School District.   To find out more about the meal benefits form, please visit https://nccvtns.com/
    • Reminder, students may not order food from outside the building.  If a student forgot their lunch it can be dropped off by a family member in the main office
    • We ask that you check your email, Schoology, Facebook, Instagram and the St. Georges’ website, for updated information about the 2025-2026 school year. We will continue to provide the most up to date information, concerning the school year, as it becomes available.
  • General Reminders
    • St. Georges is a latex-free school.
    • Students, please remember to charge your Chromebook daily
