Weekly Newsletter

Hello Hawk Families! We hope this message finds you well.

Please take the time to review this information:

Reminder to all Hawk families that we designate our schoolwide asynchronous days to allow students time to complete the state mandated Pathways to Wellness Course.  ALL students are required to complete this course and will receive a Pass/Fail grade on their transcript for it. Please check in with your student to make sure they are completing these on the asynchronous days and are on track to have it completed. Students are allowed to complete each module as many times as they need in order to achieve a 70% or higher. Please contact [email protected] with questions.

Upcoming Schedule Reminders:

*Monday, March 10th: Professional Development for Staff. No School for students.

*Tuesday, March 18th-Sophomore Only PSAT Day. All other grades will be asynchronous.

The PSAT is scheduled to conclude around 11am on Tuesday, March 18th. (It will be longer for special education students who have extended time on the test). Sophomores that have permission to leave when their testing room has concluded testing should plan to be picked up from St. Georges at 11:15am. We ask for your help in planning for the day and lunch preparation by filling out the early dismissal form for your sophomore to let us know of your plans for the afternoon of the PSAT. After sophomores take the PSAT, they will have lunch in the cafeteria, and spend the remainder of the day in their career classrooms. Please complete the early dismissal form that was emailed home to sophomore families on March 7th by Wednesday, March 12th so that we can properly plan for PSAT day.

*Spring Break: April 18th-25th.

Please review the weekly Student Activities Newsletter HERE in order to stay up to date with school events and deadlines.

Juniors and Seniors: Prom ticket sales are happening on various days throughout the month of March. Please note that students who owe obligations will not be permitted to purchase tickets. Please also note that attending prom is a privilege and  any behavior that is deemed inappropriate or unsafe for attending extra-curricular events  from now leading up to the dance is subject to your ticket being revoked with no refund given.

Ongoing School Reminders:

*This is a reminder that any Senior or Junior interested in driving to school must register their vehicle prior to parking at school.  Once registered, students will receive a parking permit and an assigned parking space. Driving to school without properly registering vehicles and/or parking in non-assigned parking spaces may result in a loss of driving privileges and/or disciplinary action.

*As we prepare students for their future careers it is important that our students abide by the dress code policy detailed in the Student/Parent Handbook.  Students who continually do not follow the dress code will be disciplined using the rules and regulations outlined in the handbook.

*Reminder, students may not order food from outside the building.  If a student forgot their lunch it can be dropped off by a family member in the main office

*We ask that you check your email, Schoology, Facebook, Instagram and the St. Georges Tech website, for updated information about the 2024-2025 school year. We will continue to provide the most up to date information, concerning the school year, as it becomes available.

*St. Georges is a latex-free school.

* Students, please remember to charge your Chromebook daily.

Thank you for your continued assistance, participation, and support throughout this school year!
