If you ask students about how their classes are going, most would respond that they are barely keeping up with the expectations of their hybrid class schedule. However, these two students chose to taken on even more work and responsibility and compete in Delaware SkillsUSA.
Jayla Settles, Culinary Arts Class of 2021, elected to compete in the Customer Service Competition. She won 3rd place in the ProStart Culinary Arts Competition in 2020. Since ProStart was not competing this year, she decided to participate in a SkillsUSA leadership competition instead. Congratulations to Jayla for venturing out and trying something new! We are so proud of you.
Eric Tlaseca-Morales, Web and Print Class of 2021, competed in the SkillsUSA Job Interview Competition and won the gold medal for the 3rd year in a row! Eric was able to travel to Louisville, KY for the National SkillsUSA Competition in 2019, but the national competition was cancelled in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. He is excited to be able to compete in the virtual National SkillsUSA Competition this year. We wish Eric the best of luck!
