Driver’s Ed Test Schedule 12/8

Driver’s Ed Update for 10th Grade

Progress to Date

The course is underway via Schoology and Resources/Assignments are posted regularly. Weekly assignments are being completed by students. 90% of the 10th grade students are engaged and completing the assignments. 10% of the students have submitted nothing to date. Please encourage your student to complete their assignments and if they need help, to SCHOOLOGY message the DE Instructor or make a virtual appointment with them during their Office Hours on FRIDAYS.

Assessment Requirements

The State of DE requires 3 Driver’s Education assessments to be taken in-person. The assessments must be passed in order to complete the classroom portion of this course and begin “behind-the-wheel” driving 2nd Semester (January 2021).

Our first assessment, the Signs/Signals assessment, will be scheduled for hybrid 10th graders during the morning of Tuesday 12/1/20. The Rules of the Road assessment will be scheduled on Tuesday 12-8-20. The State Final will be scheduled in January 2021 prior to the end of Semester 1.

The assessments will all take place in the gymnasium and all DPH/CDC guidelines will be in effect during all sessions.

REMOTE Learners will be administered the Signs/Signals assessment during an afternoon session on 12/8/20. The session would have a maximum of 53 students seated, socially distanced, facing forward, and with masks on.

The assessments will all take place in the gymnasium and all DPH/CDC guidelines will be in effect during all sessions.

The assessment times for Remote Learners on HYBRID TUESDAYS will be 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. (90 minutes).

Once the REMOTE student completes the assessment, they will be free to go home. This is why it is IMPERATIVE that the student’s ride remains on Campus until their student is finished the assessment.

The make-up day for the Signs and Signals and Rules of the Road assessments will be rescheduled to FRIDAY 12/11/20 at 10:00 a.m. The original date was TUESDAY 12-15-20. We will now be remote on 12/15/20.

  1. Have the employer completely fill out section one. No information can be missing.
  2. The student must completely fill out section two. No information can be missing.
  3. Lastly, the student needs to scan or take a clear picture and email the working papers to Dr. Chad Harrison @ Chad.Harrison@nccvt.k12.de.us If all information is complete, Dr. Harrison will sign the working papers and email them back to the student.
