Good evening,

Students who are experiencing issues with their Chromebook should review the information below for troubleshooting at home:

Troubleshooting Help

Students who have tried all of the things in the above link should use the link(s) below to make an appointment to bring your Chromebook in for repair. At the appointment, you will drop off your device and be given a new, working device. If your current device is not working due to charging/power issues, please also bring your power cord. For all other issues, the device itself will be all you need to bring.

Below you will find the signup for St. Georges as well as the three other schools. If you are unable to bring your device to St. Georges for repairs, you may choose the school that is physically closest to you. Be prepared to supply the following information:

  • Student Name
  • Student ID
  • Type of Device (Chromebook for all St. Georges students)

Students can get meals at All NCCVT High Schools!

NCCVT Nutrition Services is pleased to announce that all four schools, Delcastle, Hodgson, Howard, and St. Georges, will be serving meals-to-go beginning Wednesday, Sept. 9.

Breakfasts and lunches, featuring student menu favorites, will be packaged for grab and go outdoor distribution.

WHEN: Beginning Wednesday, Sept. 9, then each Monday, Wednesday and Friday between the hours of 7:00 a.m – 1:30 p.m. only.

WHAT: Each student meal package will include 2 complete breakfasts and 2 complete lunches on Mondays and Wednesdays; 1 breakfast and 1 lunch on Fridays. Meals will include storage and reheating instructions. Most meals will require refrigeration.

WHERE: Delcastle, Hodgson, Howard, St. Georges – follow signs in the school parking lot.

WHO: Any student 18 years or younger, whether or not you participate in the School Meal Benefits Program. Meals may be picked up by parents, relatives, or the students themselves. No identification is required.

COST: Meals are free of charge to all.

SAFTEY PRECAUTIONS: Participants who are picking up meals are asked to please wear a face mask. Nutrition Services staff who are distributing packaged meals will be wearing face masks.

MORE DETAILS: The USDA Summer Food Service Program has been extended, due to COVID-19, until December. Students may go to any site that distributes meals, not just their specific school or a school in their specific school district. Students who have received meals this summer at other locations may continue to do so or may go to any NCC Vo-Tech high school. If families have children in the household who are not students in NCCVT, they still will be served at any of our high school distribution sites.

Library Services at St Georges Technical High School are still available during remote learning.

We are offering Curbside pickup for books, printing and photocopying. (See bottom of page for pickup times.) Mrs. Read, the librarian, will be available via phone, email or Schoology for help with research and navigating the website during the school day.

The Library website will be available on Schoology to help students find information they need but a link is also provided on this page. On the home page there are instructional videos on how to use some of the resources as well as research guides. Passwords are required for eBooks and some Databases, due to licensing issues they could not be published on the website. However, they are provided for you at the end of the page. Feel free to save the passwords on a private place on your computer or phone. All Items checked out will be sanitized before pick up and quarantined on return.

Curbside Pick-Up Information:

Use the Destiny library catalog located on the website to choose your books. Email Mrs. Read your name and student ID and the title of the books and a time for pick up. Send items for printing via email attachments or sharing a google doc email to kim.read@nccvt.k12.de.us

Thank you to parents and freshmen that have come to St. Georges to receive Chromebooks. The make-up date for parents and freshmen that have not been able to come to St. Georges to receive Chromebooks is Wednesday, September 2nd between the hours of 9:30- 11:00 am or 12:30 pm-2:00 pm. If you are unavailable to come to St. Georges during either window of time on Wednesday, September 2nd, please email TJ Griffith at <tj.griffith@nccvt.k12.de.us>
Before coming to St. Georges for Chromebook pickup, the following items must be understood and completed at https://stgeorges.nccvt.k12.de.us/chromebooks/ Those items consist of the following:
  • The student and parent/guardian must read and sign off on the Chromebook User Agreement and the NCC Vo-Tech Acceptable Use Policy, i.e. the student form and parent form
  • Pay the annual insurance fee of $25 electronically
As part of our health and safety precautions, we are requesting that only one parent/guardian accompany their student to pickup a Chromebook during one of the designated times. Due to Covid-19, health and safety procedures must be followed. These procedures stipulate that all visitors must wear a face covering, practice social distancing guidelines, and follow the guidance of staff members while on campus. When arriving at St. Georges, please park in the front parking lot and enter through the main entrance. In advance, we appreciate your cooperation and are excited to provide our student with a Chromebook that will empower them to maximize their full potential in preparation for the workplace and post-secondary pursuits.

We were so pleased to be able to honor the Class of 2020 in live career area ceremonies on Monday, June 22nd, 2020. A video is available for purchase from OK Video for $15-DVD and $25-BluRay. The video contains pre-recorded speeches as well as each career area graduation with graduates walking across the stage.

The deadline for orders at advertised prices is Sunday, August 9. Orders will be shipped the week of August 10.

Orders placed after August 9, 2020 will incur a $7 late fee and be mailed to homes within 2 weeks of purchase.

Any student athlete from St. Georges Tech must use this new physical form:

The regulation regarding physicals for the 2020-21 school year are located in 3.0 of the document link that follows: https://www.doe.k12.de.us/cms/lib/DE01922744/Centricity/Domain/609/1010%20Interscholastic%20Athletics%20during%20the%20COVID-19%20Pandemic.pdf

In short, a returning student who had a physical completed for the 2019-20 school year on the appropriate DIAA form can still be cleared until the end of the fall season using the same physical on file in the nurses office. Any student interested in trying out for a winter or spring sport must have a new physical done prior to the start of those seasons. All returning students must still complete and submit the new physical form pages 2, 3, and 5 from the link provide above.

Any 9th grader must have a new physical completed on the new form on or after April 1, 2020. If they had a physical done on the previous DIAA form on or after April 1, 2020, they must complete and submit the new physical form pages 2, 3, and 5 from the link provide above in addition to the physical exam form signed by the physician.

RECOMMENDED: Although not mandated for returning students who are compliant with the new regulations, it is highly recommended that students obtain a new physical with their primary care physician as soon as possible due to the potential delays in future scheduling. Most offices are open and accepting physical appointments. The second best approach is to schedule with our Wellness Center once it is open. It is not recommended to obtain physicals at walk in clinics unless absolutely necessary.
